Fill a fairly narrow mouthed canning jar with what ever filler you prefer. You may use potpourri or any other filler you can think of. After the jar is filled, place the votive candle holder on top of the filling so that the tops of both jars are even. You may need to add or remove filler to make the jars even. Once the candle holder is in place, put the candle in the votive holder and then tie a ribbon around the canning jar. What you’ll have is a great homemade jar candle. You may either give your jar candles as gifts or keep them around your own home. Either way, you’ll feel proud that you created something so beautiful. There are candles of many different styles and types. There are candles of practically any scent you can imagine. The last type of candle, one that is growing in popularity, is the tart candle. This is a very small candle that doesn’t have a wick. It’s melted to release its scent. Pillar candles are very popular. These candles are usually scented. They are thicker and are usually used to create a nice relaxing or romantic atmosphere. Pillar candles are also the type of candle that is engraved for special occasions such as a wedding. Take the candle wick out and allow it to cool. Then dip it back into the wax and take it back out again. Continue this process until your candle is the length you want it to be. Once the wax cools for the final time, you can then cut and scrap away the excess wax. The end result will be a homemade candle that you can enjoy. Fantasy is another line of scents that are great to smell while taking a bath and relaxing. These scents include ocean breeze, rain, and a variety of tropical fragrances. There are just about as many scents for candles as there are scents in the world. No matter what you want a candle for, you are certain to find it with today’s ever-growing candle selection.
