Once the wax cools for the final time, you can then cut and scrap away the excess wax. The end result will be a homemade candle that you can enjoy. The last type of candle, one that is growing in popularity, is the tart candle. This is a very small candle that doesn’t have a wick. It’s melted to release its scent. Taper candles are almost always placed in candle holders. These are the candles that you see on dining room tables. They are primarily used to create soft lighting. They burn slowly and last a long time. There is also a wide variety of fruit scented candles that you can buy. Some of the more popular fruit scents are apple, melon, and citrus.
